Safety Barrier Equipment

This is the type of equipment that we help provide. Please select a manufacturer.

Airfence

Airfence Bike modules have always had a particularly strong 900gsm nylon reinforced PVC front fabric. However, now you can order your Airfence Bike safety system with an even stronger 2mm thick reinforced PVC conveyor belt fabric. This is ideal where the barriers are likely to receive repeated or high velocity impacts from bikes because the likelihood of penetration, even by the sharp, broken components of a damaged race bike, is very low. The extra reliability of the barriers afforded by this fabric means less interruption to programs and television coverage of the event.

Airfence II safety system is made up of sections strapped together so it can be any length and suit any corner. Each section consists of front and back cushions, separating cushions dividing the front from the back, and normal or ambient air pressure cells. All the cushions are lightly inflated to approximately 0.3 psi and these create the frame and cells to stand the Airfence up and hold it's shape. Pressure relief valves are fitted to the cushions to regulate the air pressure. The modules have angled ends so that they overlap.

The work of absorbing impact is done by the inflated frame and the normal air pressure cells which build up pressure to increasingly decelerate the rider. These cells also exhaust regulated air to ensure that pressures do not build up excessively to create sudden deceleration and injure the rider. They also stop "rebound" where a rider could be thrown back on to the track in front of other riders.

SafeGuard Barriers

Safeguard Multi-Barrier features unique shape of interlocking modules that follow track contours without exposing weaknesses. Barriers are suitable for either side of the circuit and can be easily repositioned should requirements change.

Safeguard also manufacture pole protectors which are frequently used in motorcycle road racing, high speed kart racing, sprint and speed hillclimbing events. Particularly useful around lamp-posts and telegraph poles, offering protection from vertical street furniture hazards.

Trackcare

Trackcare's Advanced Inflatable Rider ( AIR ) Protection System is inflatable and can easily be transported to different circuits. The system has a double impact surface; this means if the outer impact area is punctured the barrier still absorbs energy. The material is UV protected and is fire retardant. ( Trackcare Fire Test ) The outer cover is made of a grey non-reflective material. The construction of the barrier is such that it does not need constant checking of the pressure, meaning it is less likely to deflate during an event. When the modules are constructed at a circuit the front impact surfaces are placed so that it impossible for a rider to go in-between the modules.

They also have a new High Impact Motorcycling Barrier that is light enough for two people to carry easily. The system has undertaken the FIM test at the Transport Research Laboratory and the results were excellent.

Trackcare Pole Protectors can be made to suit the location that they are to be fitted too. These products are heavy duty and will give many seasons of use. They are waterproof, UV protected and fire retardant.
